Convert PDF to plain text

Raster to Text OCR Converter Command Line application can be used to convert PDF to Text document. With the application, the PDF document can be converted to plain Text document which can be edited freely. Only several easy clicks can realize this function.

Before inputting the command line in cmd prompt window, you should register the application to obtain all functions.
Please open cmd dialog box first by clicking "Start"—"Run" and inputting "cmd" in "Run" dialog box. Then click "OK" button.
In popup cmd dialog box, you should change the current directory to installation directory of Raster to Text OCR Converter by using the DOS command "cd". Please input "cd" and add a space, then input the installation directory and click "Enter" button on your keyboard. Then input the registration key and hit "Enter" button to complete the registration. Next, please input the command line to convert PDF to Text.

 

A basic command for converting PDF to plain Text is as follows:
pdf2txtocr.exe C:\in.pdf C:\out.txt

 

Where

  • pdf2txtocr.exe stands for the application.
  • C:\in.pdf stands for the input PDF document.
  • C:\out.txt stands for the target file.

The command line is
"C:\Documents and Settings\admin\My Documents\Do wnloads\pdf2txtocrcmd\pdf2txtocr.exe" "C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Desktop\demo\pdf\as long as you love me.pdf" 01.text
Where

  • "C:\Documents and Settings\admin\My Documents\Do wnloads\pdf2txtocrcmd\pdf2txtocr.exe" stands for the directory of the executable file in Raster to Text OCR Converter Command Line—pdf2txtocr.exe.
  • "C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Desktop\demo\pdf\as long as you love me.pdf" is the path of original PDF document which needs to be converted.
  • 01.text is the name of target Text document.
 

NOTE: If you don't specify the path for the target file in command line, the Text document will be saved in current directory automatically.
