Recognize text in images via OCR

Raster to Text OCR Converter Command Line is designed to be a converter which can run in the MS-DOS interface. With the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology in the application, Raster to Text OCR Converter Command Line can recognize the text messages in images easily.

Executable file and all components are packed in one single package, and the application is instantly runnable after unpacking the package.

The following contents are for your understanding of converting image to Text and recognizing the text in the images.

 

Firstly, please download and unpack the application package into your computer disk. Please remember the directory of the application for later using. You should register the command line application in cmd prompt window. Please do as follows:

  • Click "Start"—"Run" to open "Run" dialog box.
  • Input "cmd" in "Run" dialog box and click "OK" button.
  • In popup cmd dialog box, please change the current directory to the installation directory of the application with the command "cd". You just need to input "cd" and add a space, then paste the directory of Raster to Text OCR Converter Command Line and hit "Enter" button on your keyboard.
  • Input the registration key and click "Enter" button.
 

Secondly, input the command line in cmd dialog box to recognize the text in image via OCR technology. The command line template is as follows:
pdf2txtocr.exe –ocr -lang eng C:\in.bmp C:\out.txt

The commands are:
"C:\Documents and Settings\admin\My Documents\Downloads\pdf2txtocrcmd\pdf2txtocr.exe" -ocr -lang eng "C:\Documents and Settings\ admin\Desktop\demo\ocr\1.bmp" 01.text
Where

  • "C:\Documents and Settings\admin\My Documents\Downloads\pdf2txtocrcmd\pdf2txtocr.exe" indicates the directory of the executable file of Raster to Text OCR Converter.
  • "–ocr" means the command line will call the OCR function.
  • "-lang eng" stands for the called language which is English according to the original image file.
  • "C:\Documents and Settings\ admin\Desktop\demo\ocr\1.bmp" is the directory of original image.
  • 01.text is the file name and extension name of target Text file. If you don't specify the directory for the target file, it will be saved in current directory by default.
