DWG to PDF, Batch Converting

Question:Basically, I need single PDF files PER drawing to be created, per batch. The way I know to do this is using the SSM. I have used the SSM extensively because of its ease of convenience to plot multiple drawings or sheet sets all in whichever format I desire. Now this requires Page Setups to be setup before hand, then one needs to select the drawings for plotting, right click, publish, publish using page setup override, select desired custom page setup... . So I guess does VeryDOC have any solution which can be used to convert DWG to PDF in batch and allowing to set up page.

Answer: When you need to convert DWG to PDF in batch and set up page size, maybe you can have a free trial of this software: VeryDOC DWG to PDF Converter, by which you can also create a single merged PDF file from several DWG and DXF files or create an individual PDF file for each DWG and DXF file selected. Please check more information of this software on homepage in the following part, I will show you how to use this software.

  • This software is command line version,  so when downloading finishes, there will be a zip file. Please extract it to some folder then you can call the executable file in MS Dos Windows.
  • This software could work under all the Windows system both of 32-bit and 64-bit.

Step 2. Convert DWG to PDF in batch and set up page size.

  • When you use this software, please refer to the following usage:dwg2pdf [options] <-i AutoCAD Files> [-o Output]
  • When converting DWG to PDF in batch, please refer to the following command line templates:
  • dwg2pdf -i C:\*.dwg -o C:\*.pdf

    dwg2pdf -w 800 -i C:\input.dwg -o C:\output.pdf
For now this software can not help you specify page size directly, you need to set up page size through specifying page height and width. Now let us check related parameters:

-w <Page Width>    : specify page width, unit is point
-h <Page Height>   : specify page height, unit is point
    -i <AutoCAD Files> : specify input AutoCAD filename
