Before resizing pictures in batch, you should check the “Resize” check box first. In “Type” combo box, you can choose one of four available resizing types—Fix Image, Restrict Width, Restrict Height, Ignore proportion. If you select “Restrict Width” option, the image files will be resized according to the width you set retaining the original proportions. For example, input “500” in “Width” edit box. The width of output image files will turn to 500 pixels but the proportions will be still the original ones. Just click “Convert” button on the right to specify a suitable location for all the output image files in “Browse for Folder” dialog box and run Picture Batch Resizer.

In Figure2, you can see the examples of output image files. The width has changed to 500 pixels.
